Baking stones ensure even heating with no hot spots, and are a great way to make pizzas, breads and cookies. Included is a heavy-duty chrome serving rack, so food can be cooled and served right from the baking stone.
INTENDED FOR OVEN USE ONLY!
Never place stone on a hot range top: Uneven heating may cause the stone to crack.
Do NOT use in the microwave.
ALWAYS use OVEN MITTS when handling hot Oneida Bakeware.
Place the pizza stone in cold oven and preheat according to recipe guidelines. Place pizza directly on the hot stone using a pizza peel, and bake until hot and bubbly. Remove the pizza with a peel and allow the stone to cool in the oven, or carefully remove the hot stone with pizza and place on the chrome serving rack.
Preheat the stone in your cold oven & preheat for 15 minutes at 450 degrees. Place pizza dough on a pizza peel or cutting board, dusted with corn meal to prevent sticking. Add pizza toppings. Carefully slide pizza onto hot stone. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until done. Using oven mitts, remove stone from oven and place into the serving rack to avoid heat damage to counter tops or table surfaces.
Allow stone to COOL. Remove baked-on food using a non-metal scraper or spatula. Rinse your stone with WARM WATER. DO NOT USE SOAP because the residue will be absorbed into the stone and may affect your food’s taste. NOTE: Your stone will darken with use. This is part of the stone’s natural seasoning and will not affect its performance.
