Brickle-Chip Oatmeal Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 12 oz. bag of chocolate chips
  • 8 oz. bag of toffee bits (bits o' brickle)
  • 2 c. oatmeal (quick or old-fashioned)

DIRECTIONS

  • Cream butter & crisco, add both sugars, vanila, eggs and cream well.
  • Combine flour, soda, salt and mix with creamed mixture.
  • Add chocolate chips & bits o' brickle, then add oatmeal last by hand.
  • Drop by tablespoonful on lightly greased cookie sheets.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10-12 minutes.
  • Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
