INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 12 oz. bag of chocolate chips
- 8 oz. bag of toffee bits (bits o' brickle)
- 2 c. oatmeal (quick or old-fashioned)
DIRECTIONS
- Cream butter & crisco, add both sugars, vanila, eggs and cream well.
- Combine flour, soda, salt and mix with creamed mixture.
- Add chocolate chips & bits o' brickle, then add oatmeal last by hand.
- Drop by tablespoonful on lightly greased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10-12 minutes.
- Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
